Our Story
Why we built Bruce.
To help you give every client the attention you've always wanted to.
Where Bruce came from
"Jesse, I wish you'd asked earlier."
In high school, I sold raffle tickets for my cheerleading team. I got to my favorite teachers and best friends just a day late. They'd already bought from someone else. They all said they would have bought from me if I'd asked first.
They wanted to support me. But I'd missed my chance until next year.
The following year, I reached out before tickets were available and became the top fundraiser. Even people who want to choose you need to hear from you first.
Years later, a real estate agent told me his spouse was scrolling Facebook when she asked, "Isn't that your client? Didn't they just buy another house?"
They'd bought with another agent.
You know how much you put into helping someone find their home. To discover they've moved again without even calling you hurts. Especially when you meant to stay in touch, but taking care of new clients left too little time for everyone else.
For you, the stakes are much higher. The next chance to work together could be years away.
My cofounders and I built Bruce because the care you have for your clients shouldn't be limited by the hours in your day.

Our promise
You sell the homes. Bruce helps you take care of the people.
What we believe
- Real estate agents don't want to manage relationships. They want to have them. Bruce doesn't give you more tasks. He takes work off your plate.
- People want to feel remembered, not marketed to. A thoughtful check in means more than another newsletter or automated campaign.
- The relationship doesn't end at closing. The best relationships are built in the moments when there's no transaction in sight.
The moment we build for
Boss, Allison got back to me. She said you were wonderful to work with. Thought you'd want to hear that.
BruceAn example of the note we want every boss to get.
You hear how much your work meant to someone. And you know the relationship is still being looked after.
The people behind Bruce
Bruce was founded by Jesse Chor, Mike Emery, and Glen Wong.
Before Bruce, we built Tanda, a fintech startup featured in TechCrunch. Today, we're bringing that experience to a mission we care deeply about: helping people build relationships that last.

Becoming a public benefit company
The way Bruce treats you and your clients shouldn't change as we grow. So we're writing it into how the company is run. As a public benefit company, we're accountable for our purpose, not just for profit. We're going through the conversion now.
We were inspired by Eric Ries's Incorruptible. Read our conversation with him.
Our public benefit purpose: to increase the integrity, accessibility, and accountability of professional relationships in industries where trust is the primary currency.
